Thank you for your interest in my childcare program

I believe that all children are a special and unique gift from God. It is my goal to provide your children with a safe environment that nurtures self-esteem and security. I provide a preschool program that promotes learning through hands on play and discovery. I also provide transportation to various events such as gymnastics, preschool, swimming etc. I encourage parents to discuss expectations they have and/or want for their child and myself.

About myself and my family

I grew up in Stillwater MN.  I graduated from Stillwater Senior High and went on to school to become a machine designer.  I married a few years later and had the first of my 4 most prized possessions, Francesca.  After much consideration the decision was made for Francesca’s father and me to divorce.  Taking a child from an environment where both their biological parents care for them is one of the most difficult decisions I have had to make in my life.  Three years later I met my husband Tim.  We married and have added three more amazing children to our family.  Sydney, Abby and Riley.

When Tim and I married we moved to Wyoming Minnesota where I became very active in the PTA for Wyoming Elementary and became a Girl Scout Leader for Francesca’s Girl Scout Troop.  I also participated in the St Paul schools mentoring program.  As each year went by and each child was born I felt the need more and more to be home with my children.

Our decision to move to Maplewood has been fueled by many reasons.  My parents were aging and needed more help if they were to stay in their home.  My husband was tiring of his 45-minute commute to work and I was hoping to have a home where I could start a daycare business.   In December 2000 we moved into our new home and started making plans for me to start a daycare business.

I hold a class C3 license that allows me to have 14 children.  I have met all requirements according to the State of Minnesota rules 9502.0315 to 9502.0445 for Family Day Care.
